Lounge Design
A timeless design, inspired by space in its broadest sense.
When three of these chairs are put together in a triangle position, an intimate space will be created. If more chairs will be added, new intimate spaces will appear.
By researching the space under different circumstances, we saw the weather and season change. We came to a design that completed the lounge area where 3 of these Lounge Chairs will be placed.
A timeless approach for the final design came together in this
aerospace-appearing chair. Designed under COVID-19 circumstances where time and space seemed to have different perceptions.
From November 2022 this project can be viewed in Theater de Lawei in Drachten

Inspired by the organic shapes and dynamic use of color of Henri Matisse, a French artist who was known for his simplification of imagery and strong color contrasts. Organic lines in combination with bold colors, were a result of researching the power in its silhouette. Embodying the female form as an extension of power and elegance.

Bag Design for my graduation collection. From research of dying my own leather, these organic but edgy shapes came together in this dynamic design.
Searching for nature's influence, which has mostly been lost since the Industrial Revolution.
Named after my grandmother who has been my muse for this design.
